Sacred Heart Prep's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of JP Kerrigan, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds, and TJ O'Brien who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for Kerrigan. Tyler Hogan was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Sacred Heart Prep were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Serra has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 39 points or more this season. They really took it to Head-Royce for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-30 victory on the road. With Serra ahead 36-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Things could have been worse for Sacred Heart Prep, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-41 loss to Serra when the teams last played back in January of 2016. Can Sacred Heart Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
