It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Poudre can now relate to. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valor Christian Eagles on Saturday. The Impalas' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
 Chase Hawkinson paced Poudre's offense, picking up 13 kills. Hawkinson got some help from  Chais Soderberg and his 36 assists.  Spir Tullius controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
 Leading Valor Christian to victory were  Mason Walters and  Renn Bailey.  Walters  had 14  digs, while  Bailey  had eight  digs and two  aces. Those  14  digs gave  Walters a new career-high.
Poudre's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Valor Christian, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record  this season.
 Poudre does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valor Christian, they will square off against Mountain Vista at 3:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their  11th straight  victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
