The Canyon Crest Academy Ravens will head out on the road to square off against the Classical Academy Caimans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
San Dieguito Academy hit Canyon Crest Academy with a four-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Ravens fell 6-2 to the Mustangs. Ravens fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Mustangs since on Tuesday.

On the hitting side, Canyon Crest Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis McNamee, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double.
Meanwhile, Classical Academy waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Torreys by a score of 8-3.
Eleri Evans made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Evans was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Kalia Gonzalez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sophie Subka, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Classical Academy now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Canyon Crest Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10-1 record this season.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Canyon Crest Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. However, it's not like Classical Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .370. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Canyon Crest Academy took their win against Classical Academy when the teams last played on April 9th by a conclusive 14-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ravens since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
