Jefferson County hasn't had much luck against Aucilla Christian recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Jefferson County Tigers will host the Aucilla Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
Jefferson County took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Gadsden County 21-1. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Matthew (Britt) Jimenez and Ja'Lon Crumity made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Jimenez pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Crumity struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. At the plate, Jimenez scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Crumity scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Ulises Reynoza was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Marcos Vargas was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Aucilla Christian put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Hamilton County with a sharp 15-2 victory. Fans of the Warriors have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Like Jefferson County, Aucilla Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Shaw Lundy. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Lundy was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4.
In other pitching news, Gavin Thompson looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
Back at the plate, Aucilla Christian got a massive performance out of Cooper Wiles, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Trey Roberts, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Jefferson County's win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1. As for Aucilla Christian, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
