Northview entered their tilt with Whitmer on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They had just enough and edged the Whitmer Panthers out 37-34. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Panthers are ranked 319th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Whitmer had strong showings from Annesia Osley, who posted 12 points, and Olivia Welch, who put up seven points.

Northview pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Whitmer, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Northview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 84-14 win against Scott on the 21st. As for Whitmer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-51 loss against Ross on the 21st.
