The Willsboro Central Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Boquet Valley Griffins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Willsboro Central is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
Last Thursday, Willsboro Central was beaten by Keene Central 74-40.
In what's become a running theme this season, Boquet Valley gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They breezed by Chazy on the road to the tune of 59-32. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Boquet Valley has posted since December 2, 2023.
Jackson Hooper was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. He also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Leibeck, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Willsboro Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Boquet Valley, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1.
Willsboro Central was taken down by Boquet Valley 69-23 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Willsboro Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
