In what's become a running theme this season, the Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Wolves gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They blew past Faith Christian 75-25 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Western Sierra Collegiate Academy sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Western Sierra Collegiate Academy found their leader in underclassman Mokhom Singh, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Singh has scored all season. Another player making a difference was John Harb, who scored 11 points.
Faith Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max Bryan, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Bryan is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alec Oakley, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Western Sierra Collegiate Academy's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Faith Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Sierra Collegiate Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cristo Rey at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Cristo Rey comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Faith Christian, they will be playing at home against Buckingham Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
