 Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Woodward Academy beat Galloway 63-59. That's two games straight that the War Eagles have won by  exactly four  points.
  Delaney Cooper had an outrageously good game as she  dropped  a double-double on 27 points and 12  steals. Another player making a difference was  Z Williams, who  scored 11 points along with eight  rebounds and six  steals.
 Meanwhile, Cross Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They took  a  55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenbrier.
 Woodward Academy pushed their record up to 2-0 with the  win, which was their 15th straight  at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 74.1 points per game. As for Cross Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
 Woodward Academy took a serious blow against Cross Creek  in their previous matchup  back in December of 2016, falling  55-23. Can Woodward Academy avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
