Llano and Blanco are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Yellowjackets will face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Llano's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
Llano barely beat Comfort the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Bobcats/Deer with a sharp 18-12 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Bobcats/Deer: they've now won six in a row.
The team relied heavily on Emilie Clopton, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Madison Whittenburg, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.
Llano kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.
Ingram Moore hit Blanco with a six-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers came up short against the Warriors, falling 14-6. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kinley Boyd spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and ten unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Blanco saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Barrett Sykes, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Blanco's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12-1. As for Llano, their record now sits at 11-6.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Llano hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. However, it's not like Blanco struggles in that department as they've averaged .325. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Llano suffered a grim 17-2 defeat to Blanco in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
