Bear Grass Charter waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Columbia Wildcats. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six runs or more this season.

Hayden Willoughby was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to triples, as he's now hit at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Gurganus, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

Bear Grass Charter's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Columbia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Bear Grass Charter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-3 victory against Pamlico County on the 17th. As for Columbia, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-1 loss against Ridgecroft on the 21st.
