Basketball Recap: Statesboro Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Statesboro had won six straight road games and Dartavian (Dj) Brown did his part to make it seven on Friday. The Statesboro Blue Devils simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Glynn Academy Terrors 79-31 thanks in part to Brown, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 17 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Marcus Hartwell, who posted ten points and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Statesboro is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.4 points. As for Glynn Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Statesboro has already played their next contest, a 53-50 victory against Brunswick on the 18th. As for Glynn Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-61 loss against South Effingham on the 18th.
