Oaks Academy were the 58-40 winner over the Immaculate Conception Academy Cristeros when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Oaks Academy fell 50-42 to Immaculate Conception Academy on Thursday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Immaculate Conception Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominic Wilhelm, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Wilhelm has scored at least 25% of Immaculate Conception Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Demeyer, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Oaks Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Immaculate Conception Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oaks Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Immaculate Conception Academy at 5:30 a.m. on January 23, 2024. As for Immaculate Conception Academy, they will play host again and welcome Coeur du Christ Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
