Xavier has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Law Lawmen at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Xavier will be strutting in after a victory while Law will be coming in after a defeat.
Xavier can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Amity Regional 42-8 on the road. 42 seems to be a good number for Xavier as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Xavier found their leader in underclassman Ean Pringle, who rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Zdrojeski, who picked up 103 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three games, Law finally came back down to earth two weeks ago. They were beaten by Hand 30-0. Law was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Xavier's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-5 Amity Regional (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.9% over those games). As for Law, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
