No one had a larger role in the success than junior Cole Putnam, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns. This was the first game for both teams, giving First Assembly Christian a 1-0 record and starting Douglass off at 0-1.
Next week, First Assembly Christian take on Covington at 7:30 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, First Assembly Christian and Covington will really light up the scoreboard. As for Douglass, they will face of against Craigmont.
