After a string of three wins, Douglas County's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16.

Fountain-Fort Carson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Angela Eilers led the charge by getting ten digs and three assists.

Douglas County's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Douglas County and Highlands Ranch will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Liberty on the 14th.
