Lutheran waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Bowen Boilermakers with points to spare, taking the game 70-52.

Bowen's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ahmad Marega, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Carter, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Bowen, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Coincidentally, Lutheran and Bowen will both be playing Eastland the next time they take the court. Bowen will head out to face Eastland at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Lutheran will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
