Lakeside is 9-1 against Evans since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Lakeside will host Evans at 5:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Lakeside proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by four) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand Clarke Central a 1-0 shutout. Lakeside's winning goal came courtesy of Ashlynn Herbert.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Evans and Greenbrier had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Evans lost 7-0 to Greenbrier on Friday. While losing is never fun, Evans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Greenbrier are ranked 16th).

Lakeside now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Evans, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-4.

Lakeside took their victory against Evans when the teams last played on March 7th by a conclusive 6-2. Does Lakeside have another victory up their sleeve, or will Evans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
