The Harmony School of Innovation Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against Grulla, falling 82-1. Harmony School of Innovation was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-1.
Grulla got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Marbella Orduno out in front who almost dropped a triple-double on nine points, 11 assists, and 12 steals. That's the first time this season that Orduno posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ailynn Solis, who scored 21 points along with four steals.
Harmony School of Innovation bumped their record down to 0-1 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Grulla, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harmony School of Innovation will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Raymondville at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Grulla, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Port Isabel at 6:30 p.m. Port Isabel is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
