Make it five blowout wins for the Oak Glen Golden Bears this season. They breezed by Brooke at home to the tune of 63-34. The win was all the more spectacular given Oak Glen's disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Brooke is ranked 104th).
Kami Ward continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with three steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Oak Glen's points. Ella Stewart was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Oak Glen's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Brooke, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Glen will take on Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brooke, they will head out on the road to square off against Morgantown at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
