Charlie Hess was a major factor in Reading's victory over Deer Park on Monday. The Wildcats had no answer to Hess as he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Hess is becoming a predictor of Reading's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).
