The Heath Bulldogs had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They really took it to Johnstown-Monroe for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-21 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Heath, who have now won seven matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Brayden Bayles continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 183 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries, while also throwing for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Bayles was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards. Joe Ward got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Johnstown-Monroe still got an impressive performance from Kaynen Lindsey, who rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns. Lindsey is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played.
Heath's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for Johnstown-Monroe, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Heath will head out on the road to face off against Portsmouth West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnstown-Monroe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
