The Notre Dame Catholic Lancers can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-30 win over Morgan. That 47-30 margin sets a new team best for Notre Dame Catholic this season.
It was another big night for Madison Gibbs, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The game was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kendra Mitacek, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Notre Dame Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Morgan, they bumped their record down to 3-2 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ridgefield at 5:30 p.m. on December 30th.
