Culbertson is 0-10 against Fairview since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Culbertson Cowboys will head out on the road to face off against the Fairview Warriors at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Culbertson is ranked 78th, while Fairview is ranked 55th).
After soaring to 59 points the game before, Culbertson were a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They were dealt a 65-23 loss at the hands of Plentywood. Culbertson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-16.
Despite the loss, Culbertson saw an underclassman step up: Micah Eagle Boy scored four points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eagle Boy has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Fairview strolled past Baker with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 70-53.
Culbertson now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Fairview, their win bumped their record up to an identical 1-2.
Culbertson suffered a grim 65-44 defeat to Fairview when the teams last played back in February. Can Culbertson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
