The Chapman Panthers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Blue Ridge 70-23. While losing is never fun, Chapman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Blue Ridge is ranked 28th).
Chapman's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kara Twitty, who scored ten points, and Grace Mcdaniel who scored two points along with two steals.
Chapman's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Blue Ridge, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.
Chapman will head out on the road to face off against Broome at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Broome focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday. As for Blue Ridge, they will be playing at home against Travelers Rest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
