Shaler Area is 1-9 against North Allegheny since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Shaler Area Titans will head out on the road to square off against the North Allegheny Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Shaler Area is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Allegheny in Pennsylvania (Shaler Area is ranked fifth, while North Allegheny is ranked 179th).
Shaler Area pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 72-62 to Franklin Regional. Shaler Area's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, North Allegheny also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Central Catholic by a score of 50-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Allegheny has scored all season.
Shaler Area's record now sits at 14-2. As for North Allegheny, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.
Shaler Area came up short against North Allegheny in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 49-36. Can Shaler Area avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
