Baseball Recap: Centennial Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Centennial, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Desert Edge Scorpions with a sharp 13-0 win on Thursday. With that victory, the Coyotes brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

JT Price was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three runs and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of David Daniels, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Centennial hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Centennial now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Desert Edge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Centennial will head out on the road to face off against Corona del Sol at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Desert Edge, they will face off against Copper Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
