Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Wren). Their defense stepped up to hand Southside  a   58-0 shutout  on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  victory of the  season.
 Special teams  played a big role in the game for Wren, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Sloan Sanders, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
 Wren's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Westside, they now  have a winning record of 5-4.
 Everything went Westside's way against Wren when the teams last played  back in November of 2024, as Westside made off with  a  56-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
