After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, the Sonoma Valley Dragons were happy to have found some success on Friday. They really took it to Burton for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-23 victory on the road. With Sonoma Valley ahead 37-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Leading Sonoma Valley to victory were Hudson Giarritta and Trent Ohman. Giarritta scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals, while Ohman scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Angelo Cano was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
The win got Sonoma Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Burton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Sonoma Valley and San Rafael will face off at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Burton will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against St. Patrick-St. Vincent at 12:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
