The Tempe Buffaloes's five-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They managed a 57-52 victory over Vista Grande. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Tempe also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Tempe's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Arthur Murphy, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Nassir Cobbs was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Tempe's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Vista Grande, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tempe won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Apache Junction at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Apache Junction is on a six-game streak of home losses, Tempe a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Vista Grande, they will head out on the road to face off against Cortez at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
