Lindblom hasn't had much luck against Kenwood recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will host the Broncos at 4:30 p.m. Lindblom has given up an average of 13.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Lindblom is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 17-4 to Jones. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 14, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Ajani Liddell and Andres Aguirre stepped up to the plate in a big way. Liddell went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Aguirre went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. Jordan Terrell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Kenwood waltzed into their game on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Sun Warriors by a score of 4-1.
Jimmy Downs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Kenwood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damaurion Butler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Butler is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Kenwood pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Lindblom, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
Lindblom might still be hurting after the 21-2 defeat they got from Kenwood in their previous meeting last Monday. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
