On Thursday, NFL Yet Academy strolled past Maryvale Prep with points to spare, taking the game 65-51. The win was just what NFL Yet Academy needed coming off of a 78-38 loss in their prior matchup.
NFL Yet Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from ABEL RUIZ, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was EUDY LARA-CASTILLO, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Trivium Prep, who are still winless after their 19th match. They were dealt a 83-50 loss at the hands of Mohave Accelerated on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Trivium Prep has suffered since December 14, 2023.
NFL Yet Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. As for Trivium Prep, they dropped their record down to 0-19 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for NFL Yet Academy against Trivium Prep when the teams last played last Thursday as the squad secured a 73-40 win. Will NFL Yet Academy repeat their success, or does Trivium Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
