Hudsonville posted their closest win since September 23rd on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the South Lyon East Cougars. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Leah Burlison paced Hudsonville's offense, picking up ten kills. Burlison got some help from Sofie Sanders and her 27 assists. Sanders was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Hudsonville's win bumped their record up to 23-6-1. As for South Lyon East, the loss snapped their winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 29-6-1 record.

Hudsonville has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Mattawan on the 11th. As for South Lyon East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Forest Hills Central on the 11th.
