The Rocky Mount Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Wilson Christian Academy Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rocky Mount Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Rocky Mount Academy came into this matchup off a tough 17-run loss two weeks ago. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Greenfield by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Seth Tickel was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Tickel wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Creech-Jones, who went 1-for-4 with one run.
Wilson Christian Academy came out on top against Scotland Christian Academy on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run fourth inning. The Chargers never let the Saints get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. The matchup marked the Chargers' most dominant win of the season.
Hudson White looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Wilson Christian Academy is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Ethan Kriger was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Briley Futrell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Wilson Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Wilson Christian Academy's record now sits at 5-11. As for Rocky Mount Academy, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
