Medora has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 21 points or more this season. They took their game on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-30 win over Cannelton. The win was just what Medora needed coming off of a 81-49 loss in their prior contest.
Medora's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hudson Johnson led the charge by scoring 15 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him. Jaxon Nugen was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Columbus Christian came up short against Legacy Elite Academy on Thursday and fell 66-54. Columbus Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Medora's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Columbus Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Medora didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Columbus Christian in their previous matchup back in February, but they still walked away with a 59-53 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Columbus Christian's Jordan Burton, who scored 18 points.
