After taking the lead on a
Tyzhan Leatherwood touchdown run in the first quarter, the Panthers were up 28-8 at the half.
Platt expanded its lead to 40 points entering the fourth quarter. PHS scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Mc bride.
Leatherwood and Mc bride ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Indians. Leatherwood scored two touchdowns on the ground and Mc bride added two as well.
Northwest Catholic's only touchdown came on a 55-yard pass in the second quarter.
Northwest Catholic came in giving up 13.2 points per game this season. NC had a hard time against Platt's offense, which entered the game scoring 37.1 points per game. The Panthers had given up an average of 14.0 points prior to the contest. Northwest Catholic's eight points were well below its season average of 36.9 per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Northwest Catholic, who notched a 35-0 victory over Weaver in its previous outing.
