The Brockway Rovers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 52-32 defeat at the hands of Ridgway. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Brockway has suffered against Ridgway since February 8, 2019.
When it comes to explaining why Brockway lost, one person who can't be blamed is Reese Yahner. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Brockway bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Ridgway, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Brockway will be playing in front of their home fans against Johnsonburg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Johnsonburg presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brockway in Pennsylvania (Johnsonburg is ranked 266th, while Brockway is ranked 695th). As for Ridgway, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Marys at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully St. Marys focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Monday.
