The Surprise Valley Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Tulelake by a score of 59-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Surprise Valley had strong showings from Casey Grove, who scored 27 points, and Iina Nabahe-Henry, who scored 20 points. That was a full 47.4% of Surprise Valley's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Surprise Valley dropped their record down to 8-13 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Tulelake, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-18.
Surprise Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tulelake also has no future games currently scheduled.
