The M.L. King Lions will be playing at home against the Decatur Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in M.L. King's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
Even though Chamblee scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, M.L. King still came out on top. M.L. King slipped by the Bulldogs 58-57. Given M.L. King's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 330th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Devin Bowers was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Kennedy Ruzvidzo jr. was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Decatur strolled past the Rams with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 65-51.
M.L. King is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Decatur, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
M.L. King ended up a good deal behind the Bulldogs in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, losing 60-46. Can M.L. King avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
