Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask York Suburban). They came out on top against the Susquehannock Warriors by a score of 29-21 on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead York Suburban to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taza Sweeney, who rushed for 167 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Sweeney also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: York Suburban was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 81.8 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five matchups they've averaged 168.

Despite the loss, Susquehannock still got an impressive performance from Trevor Odegaard, who rushed for 123 yards and two TDs, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. Odegaard didn't just play on offense: he also made 12 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass.
York Suburban's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Susquehannock, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
