The Denver South Ravens's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They walked away with a 53-40 win over Denver North. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Denver South also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Denver South got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Christian Cobb out in front who scored ten points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cobb has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brody Shepard, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, Denver North still got an impressive performance from Jacob Giron, who scored 14 points.
Denver South now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Denver North, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denver South will take on Thomas Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Thomas Jefferson is ranked 70th, while Denver South is ranked 53rd). As for Denver North, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Adams City at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Adams City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Thursday.
