On Saturday, Wicomico suffered a tough 76-51 loss at the hands of Seaford. While losing is never fun, Wicomico can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 114th in Maryland, while Seaford is ranked 24th in Delaware).
It was another big night for Kashmier Wise, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 6 assists for Seaford. The game was Wise's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Omari Nichols, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Wicomico has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Seaford, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with that win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wicomico will play host again and welcome Pocomoke, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seaford, they will be playing at home against Indian River at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
