Jacob Crosby was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Smith, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
The victory made it two in a row for Sylva Bay Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel HomeSchool will face off against Coastal Mississippi Homeschool at 7:00 p.m. on March 4th. As for Sylva Bay Academy, they will take on East Rankin Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Rankin Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.5 runs per game this season.
