On Saturday, Drew came up short against Eastside College Prep and fell 48-36. Drew has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Drew's loss came despite strong showings from Charlie Leu and Teo Kimball-Directo. Leu scored 15 points along with seven rebounds, while Kimball-Directo scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Kimball-Directo scored a full 44.4% of Drew's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Drew has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Eastside College Prep, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Drew's road trip will continue as they head out to face Leland at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th. Eastside College Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sacred Heart Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
