Hondo has won four straight games at home, while Crystal City has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Owls will host the Javelinas at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hondo's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Dilley with a sharp 8-0 win. The Owls haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Mason Barr was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolten Alvarez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Crystal City won against Dilley on Friday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Javelinas were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over Natalia.
Adrian Zavala made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Zavala was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other pitching news, Michael Trevi?o looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Abraham Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Crystal City is undefeated when Martinez posts two or more runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Isaiah Mata was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Crystal City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Natalia only posted an OBP of .391.
Crystal City's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-8. As for Hondo, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4-1.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hondo has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .471. However, it's not like Crystal City struggles in that department as they've averaged .479. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Hondo's way against Crystal City when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Hondo made off with an 8-0 win. Do the Owls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Javelinas turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
