On Saturday, Medina was the victim of a rough 74-51 loss at the hands of Kendall. Medina has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Medina's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jerrell Nealy, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Christian Moss who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Nealy set a new season high mark in blocks with two. Another player making a difference was Cole Callard, who scored eight points.
Even though they lost, Medina were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Medina now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Kendall, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Medina will face off against Royalton-Hartland at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Royalton-Hartland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. Kendall will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
