The Owyhee Storm will head out on the road to square off against the Ridgevue Warhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Owyhee has ten straight wins, Ridgevue has 14 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Owyhee is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Cole Valley Christian, who was ranked 20th at the time (Owyhee was ranked first). Owyhee was the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over Cole Valley Christian on Wednesday. Considering the Storm have won eight contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Hailey Brennan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Owyhee got a massive performance out of Haiylee Reeves, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Reeves a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Brooks, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double.
