The Mankato West Scarlets got the win against the Le Sueur-Henderson Giants on Friday by a conclusive 16-1. Considering the Scarlets have won nine contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mankato West is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Le Sueur-Henderson, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-10.

Mankato West wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Austin on the 17th. Le Sueur-Henderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
