It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Auburn Tigers had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the Red Devils 71-68. The victory was familiar territory for Auburn who now have three in a row.
Tabari Allen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Griffin Mclean, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Auburn's victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game. As for Central, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 27-7.
Auburn will take on Daphne at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Auburn knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Daphne likes a good challenge. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
