Davis Sr. is on a three-game streak of home losses, Pleasant Grove a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Davis Sr. Blue Devils will take on the Pleasant Grove Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Davis Sr. lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Monday was a bit more commanding. They were outmatched by Jesuit on the road and fell 88-45. Davis Sr. has struggled against Jesuit recently, as their contest on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove pushed their score all the way to 64 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 76-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cosumnes Oaks. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (63), Pleasant Grove still had to take the loss.
The losing side was boosted by Elijah Sykes, who scored 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Ruff, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Davis Sr. has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Pleasant Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.
Davis Sr. was taken down by Pleasant Grove 75-41 when the teams last played back in January. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Davis Sr. was down 47-16.
