Idalou had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Friona Chieftans with a sharp 22-10 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Idalou's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Friona, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Idalou will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chieftans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
